Cheryl E. Hoffman, Managing Partner

  • 30 years of experience in consulting with various clients nationwide strategizing operational issues. Before founding Peregrine Healthcare with Jim Chisolm (retired) and Samantha Cable in 2010, Cheryl was prominent in working with practices of all sizes and specialties helping doctors navigate practice management issues with staffing, budgeting, outsourcing, marketing and other strategic initiatives.
  • Prior to Peregrine Healthcare and Kestrel PBS, experience includes both medical practice operations and marketing/communications strategies with healthcare clients including US Family Health Plan, a national health plan for military beneficiaries, CHRISTUS Health (formerly Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word) the Memorial Sisters of Charity Health Network, St. Joseph Hospital, St. John Hospital, Doctors Hospital, Harris County Hospital District and Twelve Oaks Hospital.
  • Winner of numerous healthcare and non-healthcare marketing awards and is an accomplished publisher and writer.
  • Graduated from Texas A&M University.

Samantha Cable, CPC, Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management

  • Over 25 years of extensive experience in all aspects of the Revenue Cycle Management process in all specialties; including coding.
  • Conducts RCM and software overviews for struggling physicians and facilities.
  • Experience includes teaching, educating and auditing physicians’ clinical documentation to ensure maximum reimbursement.
  • Implementation across multiple software platforms to include initial set-up, clean-up and review.
  • Direct one on one client monthly meetings.
  • For the past ten years, sole responsibilities have been in a practice management firm.
  • Holds a CPC license, Certified Professional Coder, AAPC.
  • Holds an AA degree in Business Administration from Glendale Community College.

James E. Chisolm, DBA, MBA, President Emeritus

  • Has managed healthcare facilities, HMOs, and managed care operations, including hospitals, health plans, PPOs, PHOs, IPAs, PPMs and health insurance companies.
  • His operational experience of over 40 years includes strategic analysis and planning, financial analysis, budgeting, the profitable management of health plans and physician practices, provider/payor relations, and business and market development.
  • Organizational experience: Alverez & Marsal, New York (West Penn Allegany Health System and Louisiana State University Health System), Cardiovascular Consultants LTD, CORDA Medical Care Inc./Integrated Diagnostic Centers; Sisters of Charity Hospital System, US Family Health Plan, CIGNA Healthcare of Texas, EPIC Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, and Partners National Health Plan (Aetna).
  • Holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, a Master of Business Administration in Health Services Management and Finance from the University of Dallas, and is currently a Doctor of Business Administration in Finance dissertation candidate at Northcentral University.
  • Is a published educator and a veteran officer of the U.S. Air Force – Medical Service Corps.

Barbara Soliz, Credentialing and Contracting Manager

  • Worked in the healthcare industry since 2001 in various capacities and with various specialties.
  • Has experience in full scale office management, physician billing, contracting, credentialing, claims adjudication, bookkeeping and employee payroll.
  • Is proficient and dedicated to working with healthcare professionals to ensure maximum productivity and growth for the physician.
  • Holds 15 years of experience in all phases of credentialing and contracting (C&C) having built Peregrine’s C&C Department from the ground up in 2007. She is highly proficient in provider enrollment, re-enrollment, facility appointments, contracting, negotiations and fee schedule reviews for both commercial and government programs.
  • Holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from Lone Star College.

Jill Stegmeier, Revenue Cycle Supervisor

  • Has over 23 years of diverse experience in the medical field, including owning and operating a revenue cycle management firm for multiple specialties as well as a home health company.
  • Experienced in consulting with medical practices and in reviewing the revenue cycle organization and procedures in order to maximize reimbursement.
  • Extensive knowledge in start-up practices including credentialing and complete medical software setup.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Arizona State University.

Kim Howard, Revenue Cycle Supervisor

  • Offers close to 30 years worth of experience working in healthcare including all aspects of the Revenue Cycle Management process.
  • Works as a revenue cycle management specialist and supervisor overseeing Peregrine’s team of medical billers and coders.
  • Collaborates with practices to reduce efficiency issues that affect account receivables and patient satisfaction.
  • Worked as a medical software trainer and currently trains with new staff on various medical software platforms and job duty refinement.
  • Consults and trains new practices on software implementation.
  • Consults with clients via phone or in-person meetings helping resolve any operational issues that affect the revenue cycle or client service process.
  • Previous experience consulting a wide range of medical practices including, multi-speciality medical practices and medical software company clientele.

Jennifer Caraway, Revenue Cycle Supervisor

  • Quality Assurance Lead for Peregrine Healthcare 2018-2022 making sure all team goals and national standards are met.
  • Has worked with various medical practices specializing in eligibility, authorizations, and the full revenue cycle for over 15 years.
  • Has extensive RCM experience with various practice specialties.
  • Experienced in multiple RCM and EMR software systems.
  • Holds an Associate of Arts degree from Glendale Community College.

Tabitha Reed, Revenue Cycle Quality Assurance Supervisor

  • Promoted to Quality Assurance Supervisor in 2023 responsible for monitoring work queues and goals within all client teams.
  • Works with RCM department leaders updating and/or developing workflows and training that streamline and standardize processes within each client team.
  • Offers 27 years of medical practice experience working in all aspects of managing a medical practice.
  • Experienced in multiple RCM and EMR software systems
  • Has extensive RCM experience with various practice specialties
