Telehealth Services Extended Through December 2027
Hello,
We are sharing an important regulatory update related to telehealth services.
Congress has passed, and the President has signed, a federal spending package that extends Medicare telehealth services through December 31, 2027 as part of HHS funding.
What this means for practices:
- The extension is retroactive to February 1, 2026
- There is no lapse in telehealth coverage following the January 31, 2026 expiration
- The continuing resolution has been extended and continues to include telehealth services
- No disruption in telehealth reimbursement is expected
- Eligible telehealth claims will be paid retroactively
The telehealth policy language remains unchanged, with the extension being the primary update.
Please reach out to the Peregrine team if you have questions about how this extension affects your billing, compliance, or reimbursement workflows.
Best regards,
